Biography

Harrison Wasserbauer is an accomplished insurance leader specializing in environmental risk management and business development for Sands Point Risk. He is a skilled negotiator who leverages his 10 years of expertise in underwriting and risk analysis to create bespoke insurance programs for his clients that ensure that keeps his clients in business when unexpected happens. Harrison provides primary and excess insurance solutions across a wide range of industries that includes energy, real estate, hospitality, and manufacturing. Prior to help found Launch Environmental, Harrison spent time at Chubb Environmental and Sompo Environmental, where he created a name for himself as a problem solver and trusted environmental risk expert.

Questions

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I really enjoy spending time on the shores and woods around Laurel Lake in New Hampshire. My family has a lake house there that was built over 100 years ago and it really is the most peaceful place in the world.

If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Thai food – there is so much variety and flavor in the cuisine

What is your favorite season and why?

I like all the seasons, but if I had to pick one, it is summer. There is nothing like spending the day outside with the sun on your face and great friends by your side.

What movie have you seen the most times?

Wedding Crashers… I’ve seen it so many times and it always makes me laugh uncontrollably.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Cookies and cream… add some hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry… Oh man, there’s nothing better!

If you could host a dinner with one person alive or dead who would it be and why?

My grandfather, Jim Price. He lived a full life and had so many stories to go along with his large personality. He taught me many things in life, like there’s always room to include others at your table, don’t take yourself too seriously, and to be happy and live large. He was loved by so many people and was extremely charitable with his time. He was one of my biggest fans and I loved having a laugh with him while playing a round of golf.

What is one thing you've learned that you wish you could tell your younger self?

There’s no need to fret, everything always works out in the end.
